At Quai du Vin Estate Winery, we wish to congratulate you on your upcoming marriage! We are pleased to offer the following wedding services for your special day:

We offer a wide variety of traditional wines, fruit wines, and non-alcoholic sparkling juices. We encourage you to drop by the winery and our knowledgeable staff will gladly guide you through the sampling and selection process.

Suggested Proportions

The Quai du Vin golden rule of proportions is three people per 750 ml bottle of wine. This ensures enough for each person to enjoy two - 4 oz. glasses. However, you may judge your crowd according to their drinking preferences.

Glass Service

We offer glass rentals in three different sizes: 5, 6 & 8 oz. These glasses are rented in crates of 36, 25 & 25 respectively. The rental cost of wine glasses is 20 cents per glass which includes washing. Lost or broken glasses are subject to a replacement fee of $2.40 per glass. For a more casual event, plastic wine glasses are available for $2.00 per sleeve of 10 glasses or $4.00 per sleeve of 20.

Private Labelling

For a personal touch, have your wine bottles custom labelled. The cost of this service is a $10.00 set-up charge for the first variety of wine. Each additional variety is an additional $2.00 transfer charge. There are no minimums required, and no additional charges based on quantity. We produce all our labels on site and guarantee 24 hour service.

At Quai du Vin Estate Winery, all prices include HST and a refundable deposit of 20 cents per bottle.

Quai du Vin Estate Winery is proud to feature our newly expanded outdoor facilities for your consideration. Exchange your vows in a timeless setting. Imagine sunlight filtering through dappled leaves as you say "I do" in our forest glade. Imagine walking up the aisle to take photos in the vineyard while your guests socialize and relax in our new pavilion tent. Then join your guests for your catered reception and an evening of entertainment without the worry of travelling to different venues or time delays. Make the day as formal or casual as you wish. Quai du Vin will assist with knowledgeable advice and recommendations while you make all your plans.

Helpful Hints for Selecting Your Wine

The traditional rule of thumb is that white wines are served with white meats and seafood and that red wines are served with red meats and richer, more flavourful foods. Today, the primary reason for selecting a wine is to satisfy an individual taste regardless of the compatibility with the food.

The most popular wines are white with some residual sweetness. These wines are most often selected for large gatherings because they satisfy the broad spectrum of those in attendance. The staff at Quai du Vin Estate Winery will help you to identify the mix of your crowd and most suitably select a wine. For example, a senior crowd tends to prefer sweeter wines.

Generally, with larger gatherings, the recommendation is to keep things simple by only providing one or two wines. Too many choices of wine can become confusing and those attending would not appreciate the differences. The selection of different types of wine only works with specific wine colours, ie. reds, whites and blushes where the differences are obvious. In this case the primary wine would normally be 70% white with the balance made up of red or blush. If you choose to feature only one wine, you may want to offer another wine (ie. red) behind the bar for those who ask.
